Door had stopped pulling square at the top and heat poured out past the handle. Hinge springs were slack after twelve years. Two springs, a fresh gasket, and it shuts with a proper thump.

Both left zones cut out together under a full stockpot. Airflow behind the cabinet was blocked, so the inverter overheated and protected itself. He opened the path, then put the pot back on to prove it.

Top setting did nothing at all, and the lights buzzed whenever the fan ran. A cooked control board plus two corroded lamp holders. All three replaced, and the hood is properly quiet.
